Where should I stay in Colorado for snowboarding?

I’m planning a trip to Colorado this March for some snowboarding. I don’t really know anything beyond that I’m flying in to Denver. What is a good city to stay in that won’t break my budget? I’m going to have a few friends with me and we are going to want at least some night life. We would also like to hit at least 2 or 3 different resorts. Any suggestions on a town to stay in? Is Denver close enough? I’ll probably book a condo with a hot tub. Doesn’t have to be ski-in/out. I’ll rent a car to get around. Thanks.

Denver’s an hour away from the ski areas. Try Dillon, Frisco, Idaho Springs, or Georgetown. Dillon has free buses to the ski areas.
