Early Season Snowboarding

The mountains seem to open earlier for snowboarding and skiing in the northeast?

Summer is almost officially over. Supopsedly its snow already in Utah. I am pleased to make this snowboard season ahead. Anyone know the best places in the north-east (New England) at the beginning of the season and that is usually open first? Around what date?

historically Jay Peak in northern Vermont gets more snow soon ... Killington, Vermont for good snowmaking trails they can get covered from top to botton by the action Thanksgiving
