Learn the Different Snowboarding Tricks to Maximize Your Snowboarding Experience
If you have just began to snowboard on the slopes, there is a good chance that You Are eager to learn all the snowboarding tricks to improve your snowboarding experience. Learning the basic skills aren’t too difficult, and once you have mastered them, you’ll be ready to see whether you have the skills to take on the different snowboarding tricks that can enhance your snowboarding experience.
If you’ve been on the slopes for a good length of time, you will probably encounter what’s known as the Fakie. It’s a relatively simple move, but is deceptive in its simplicity. You can use the Fakie to make other snowboarding tricks a lot harder. This trick is accomplished by switching the foot you have in front of the board to allow your body to swing around effortlessly.
Another snowboarding trick is the Ollie, which is, for all intents and purposes, a jump. You will first need to build up your speed, and crouch down once you reach the peak of a hill, a ramp, or an outcrop. Transfer your weight to the bottom end of the board and immediately lift the foot in front. As you soar, straighten your legs, and bend them only once you land to ensure a more stable descent.
Another trick known as the Nollie is quite like the Ollie, except that you shift your weight to the front of the board instead. As you build up speed, continue on uphill and immediately crouch low, bringing your body forward. It may seem for a minute like you might fall, but lift your rear foot quickly, and raise your snowboard using your front foot. With your body dead center, make your descent with bent knees in a stable position.

So this season I am going to be working on snowboarding tricks?
This season I am going to be working on snowboarding tricks. Last season was my first season, and I can do blacks, but I have never been to the park.
Could you tell me what the park is like and the rules I should know?
I can see it from the lift, but I would like to know what it’s like from the point of view in the park, not above.
Also, would you care to name some tricks that I should learn as a beginner in the park?
Thank-you!
Some rules to follow….
* Freestyle Terrain contains man-made and natural terrain variations.
* Freestyle Terrain changes constantly due to weather and use.
* Inspect Freestyle Terrain before using and throughout the day.
* In jumping and using this terrain, you assume the risk of serious injury.
* Be courteous and respect others.
* One user on a terrain feature at a time.
* Never jump blindly; use a spotter when necessary. Look Before You Leap!
* It is your responsibility to control your body on the ground and in the air.
* Always clear the landing area quickly.
* Always ski and ride in control and within your ability.
* Aerial somersaulting maneuvers are not recommended.
those are some rules to follow. Basically inspect the stuff before you use it, you never know how the feature is going to be, if you go over a jump where the landing sucks you are risking serious injury. Don’t go down the park cutting everybody off, if you see people waiting around ask them if they are waiting to use the feature before you just go ahead, thats a good way of getting people mad at you.
Let me tell you that the park is absolutely amazing, once your good at it its a lot of fun. You may find it intimidating to start as many people do but you get more confident as you practice more. You also may want to get a lesson in park riding to begin and you should know how to ride switch as well in order to do certain tricks because if you do tricks such as 180’s you’re going to be landing the opposite way from which you normally ride so its important to be able to ride both ways
The first thing i’d do in the park is just work on being able to ride the rails, boxes, and clear the jumps without falling, then once you got that down start doing 180’s on the jumps working your way up to more advanced spins as you get better. I’d definitely get a lesson though because if you don’t know what you’re doing you can get seriously hurt, thats how i broke my collarbone a few years ago
Good luck with it, its a lot of fun.
