What to get a new snowboarder?

I am celebrating christmas with my brother in law for new years and he just got into snowboarding. He got a new board and I would like to get him accessories for waxing and tuning up. What does he need? Is a waxing iron necessary, can you use a regular clothes iron? What about a Torque Driver ? Please tell me what you think would be best. I have about 50 dollars to spend for him. Thanks in advance.

Well the different between a waxing iron and a snowboard iron, is that a regular iron has those holes in them and wax can get into them. It doesnt do anything but you might have a wax buildup in there. I used to use a regular iron but i went out and just bought a snowboard iron. Another thing you can get him is a small screw driver so that he can tighten the bolts on his bindings if they become loose. And some All Temp snowboard wax would go great with an iron.
