What is it like to live in Lake Tahoe?
I am thinking of moving there, what city should i move to thats right by lake tahoe, and good for partying and snowboarding?
What are the summers like?
What are the winters like?
How many months of the year have snow?
Are there good mountains for snowboarding?
Is it busy because of tourists?
What kind of jobs are there?
Tahoe is a beautiful place and one of my favorites. As for living there, it is expensive. Incline Village is where the wealthy live, most of the regular folk live in South Lake Tahoe by the Casinos.
Summers are temperate and beautiful there’
Winters can get as much as 40 feet of snow a year there.
Being at higher elevations, the snow stays for awhile.
Lots of snowboarding.
There are tourists year round as people like to ski in the winter and enjoy hiking and the lake in the summer. And of course it is a small gambling mecca.
I would think that most jobs are in the service industries. But as for available work, I am not sure.
If You Are looking for a cheaper place to live and work, you might look at Reno. It is only an hour or so from Tahoe and you could go up the mountain on your off time.
