vermont back country snowboarding

Colorado vs. Vermont snowboarding. Compare/Contrast.?
If You Are somebody that has been snowboarding in both colorado and vermont(or locations in these general areas) could you please compare and contrast the experience for me? Explain in terms of powder, vertical rises, number of trails, back-country experiences, and anything I might have forgotten. The reason I am asking is because last spring break me and my friend flew to aspen for a week of epic powder and back-country shredding, and this year we might want to try a new place. A positive about Vermont is that it’s possible to drive to, and it would be much cheaper than buying a plane ticket. Hotels, food, and other things would be cheaper too (i assume). So if you have any input, I would appreciate it. Names of mountains and resorts in the northeast help too.
SOMEBODY ANSWER ME!!
When does vermont get the most powder days?
I ride Vermont on a regular basis, and I have been to Colorado a few times.
Vermont is an amazing place to ride if you can handle the hard pack. The fresh snow isn’t as consistent as it would be out west. They don’t call it the ice coast for nothing. On the other hand, I have had some terrible days in CO where the snow was awful.
If you are looking for backcountry type riding, check out Jay Peak. Lots of trees and tons of snow. They are usually one of the cheaper, if not cheapest places to ride in the east.
